Introduction

In our work we will talk about some endangered animals. Endangered animals are those species of animals that are in danger of desappearing if they are not protected.

Index

BLUE WHALE

Rhino

Tiger

AFRICAN PENGUIN

elephant

Polar bear

OTTER

IBERIAN LYNX

koala

MOUNTAIN GORILLA

girafe

PANDA

tIGER

Climate change and rising sea levels could wipe out one of the world´s largest tiger species as they are losing their habitat in bangladesh.

Elephant

African elephants are on the verge of extinction because of the ivory trade. The number of African forest elephants has dropped by 86% in the past 30 years. In the savanna, on the other hand, it has decreased by 60% in half a century.

Koala

The koala has been classified as an endangered species. Forest fires, diseases such as chlamydia and deforestation are held as one of the reasons for the species to reach this situation.

Giraffe

Giraffes are on the list of endangered species by the International Union for Conservation of Nature. There are around 35,000 of the subspecies remaining in Tanzania and Kenya, but their population is declining due to poaching and habitat destruction.

Rhino

There are now only five rhino species left in the world, and all are endangered. Some subspecies have already disappeare. the western black rhino native to West Africa was declared extinct in 2013 due to poaching. And the last male northern white rhino died in 2020.

Polar Bear

Alarming numbers. There are currently around 25,000 polar bears. Best estimates indicate that by 2050 two-thirds of polar bears will be lost. Despite predictions for the future, the number of bears is already decreasing in some regions of the planet.

Iberian Lynx

The iberian lynx is considered one of the most endangered cats in the world until 2015, due to its reduced and fragmented distribution it was part of the red list of the international union for the conservation of nature as a critically endangered species

Panda

Pandas are no longer considered endangered but they are still considered vulnerable. The classification change came as the number of pandas in the wild reached 1,800.

Blue Whale

The blue whale is known as the largest aniaml in the world. Currently, this species is classified, according to the Red List of Threatened Species of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature Resources, as endangered.

African penguin

It is considered at high risk of extinction by the Internation Union for Conservation of Nature. African penguins face other threats from a lack of food to habitat destruction and an ecosystem collapse.

Otter

Water pollution and the trade in otters, especially some Asian species such as pets, taking them out of their habitat into captivity, have led to the decline of this animal's population.

Mountain gorilla

The mountain gorilla population has been theatened with extinction by poaching, disease and deforestation.

Conclusion

Whenever an animal is endangered, biodiversity is affected. We can consider that there are more and more animals on the verge of extinction..

Opinion

In our opinion, they should put an end to intensive hunting and reduce the destruction of ecosystemas.
