Potential team members

CHARACTER - One of the most important characteristics in a new team member is a godly character. Is this person growing in their Christian faith and their willingness to obey the commands of Jesus? They may have lots of gifts but does their character outweigh their giftedness?

CAPACITY - Being part of a team that plants a new church community will involve a regular commitment of time every week, all year round. Being a team member would involve the new church community being a key priority in team member’s lives.

CALLING - Ideally, team members will have a sense that God has called them to this particular group of people or to this particular place. People sense a calling from God in many different ways. However, it is this sense of God’s leading that is such an encouragement when challenging times come.

COMPETENCE - Not many people that join a team to plant a new church community will feel very experienced or competent to do it! They may have a real calling to this work but they just need to be trained and equipped to have the confidence they need to plant.
