Omori is a role-playing video game created by the independent developer OMOCAT that went on sale in December 2020. It is a surreal psychological horror video game that explores themes such as anxiety, depression and trauma.
THE CHARACTERS
THE STORY
tells the story of Sunny, a boy who lives isolated in his room trying to suppress a dark secret that torments him, creating in his mind a surreal world through which he travels with his friends and where he does not remember the events that afflict him.
RECOMMENDATION
It is a hard game, which touches on topics such as depression or suicide and it is not for everyone. I recommend playing it knowing as little as possible and giving it a real chance, the game lasts 16 hours and it can end up accompanying you for life, it's a caress to the soul.
PERSONAL OPINION
Omori is a game that can touch you a lot. At first glance it's a classic RPG with funny Undertale and Earthbound touches and an interesting battle system. However, as you play, you see that the message it tries to convey is more humane and serious than one initially expected.
