REGULAR VERBS
We add -d, -ed
Simple past endings

add -ed in most of the verbs add -d when verb ends in "e" add -ed when the verb ends in "y" followed by a vowel. add -i+ed when the verb ends "y" followed by a consonant. one-syllable verbs (cvc) double the last consonant.
