We hope to create a technology atmosphere that will inspire all students. PLEASE NOTE: This is a greeting from the Caddo IT page, the closest thing I could find to a mission statement.
In support of the Crowley ISD mission: “Crowley ISD provides our students with excellence in education so that all students achieve their full potential.” “The technology mission is to equip teachers, administrators, and students with the technical skills and secure resources needed to meet and exceed our students’ academic goals."

Final Observations
Overall, I would say that Crowley ISD has a decent plan that is laid out well. The plan is clearly detailed, data driven, and well supported by the IT Department. The Crowley ISD Plan lists all committe and IT Department members involved in the creation of this plan and their roles. I love that the process of data collection is laid out in detail, showing thier process on how they are able to make informaed decisions that are backed up by TEA's Long Range Plan and standards they must meet for the state of Texas. Unsimilarly, Caddo Parish essentialy has no technology plan. The information presented today was not infact a published plan, but a single, underdeveloped web page lacking in any kind of detail or data driven plan. I have also talked and worked with various Cadodo Parish Ed Tech leaders who work in the Professional Training Department of IT for the Parish. They too, have revealed that there is no official Ed Tech Plan for Caddo Parish. My impression is that each member of the Ed Tech team plan, manage, purchase, implement, and train to some degree. There is not much of a hierarchy or definition of roles within the department as far as I can tell, and there certainly isn't any publication of data driven decisions from past, present, or future decisions. It is well known that many school dsitricts suffer from being understaffed in the IT departments, I beleive that this may be true for Caddo Parish due to the lack of a published plan.
This does not mean that Caddo Parish schools is technologically unsupported. From what I understand and experience for myself, we, in Caddo Parish, are ahead the rest of our state when it comes to successfully implementing effective technology. Supposedly surveys and assessments have been conducted and compared at the state level. That data simply has not been publically published or integrated in to an offical plan of the future for Caddo Parish Public Schools.
