Hace + time expression + que + present tense is used to express how long something has been happening.

The subjunctive mood

The subjunctive mood is one of the topics that still give you all some trouble. Remember the subjunctive usually has the word que in it but also has two clauses. The first clause must directly affect the second clause.

por ejemplo

Remember the steps when conjugating a verb in the subjunctive mood.
  1. Form the present tense yo form of the verb
  2. REMOVE THE O
  3. ADD THE OPPOSITE ENDINGS.
steps 2 and 3 are very important. If the sentence requires you to conjugate the verb in the subjunctive IT CANNOT END WITH O.
