What's a GPA?
Why is it important?
GPA stands for grade point average and it is a calculation of all of your earned course grades over your high school career. *Every grade you receive is calculated into a GPA.*
An A is worth 4 points, a B is worth 3, a C is worth 2, a D is worth 1, and an F is worth 0.
Your grades are added together over your HS career and divided by the number of credits you have taken. Colleges generally like to see at least a 3.0 GPA. For competitive colleges, a 3.5-4.0 is recommended.

- Colleges generally like to see 2 years of the same foreign language
- Choose electives that help you explore your interests and discover what field you may want as a major in college
