Activating the plan

Getting started

Working on Activities

There are three main steps in this initial stage:1. Make sure the mentee has been added to CBC 2.Check that you have been set up as mentor using the correct development plan 3. Activate the development plan.

Preparing for Certification

In your first few meetings with your mentee, you will want to start:*Assessing current proficiency levels * Documenting their past experiences in CBC

Once competency gaps are identified, you and your mentee can identify which competencies to work on first and choose activities to develop those competencies. Remember, you can add secondary mentors!

The process for consultant certification differs between organizations and Areas. Normally you will be asked to prepare a dossier. This can be done inside or outside of CBC.
