The indirect complement (IC) is the person affected indirectly by the verb action. It always has the preposition a/para. Ella compra flores a su madre.
How can we identify the ic in a sentence?
We have to ask the verb ¿a quién? ¿para quién? let's look at the following example. Ella compra flores a su madre. ¿a quién compra flores? (the answer is: a su madre) Then, the IC is A SU MADRE.
