Your Phone knows a lot about you. Every time you use it, it collects information.This includes:

• What you tap on
• The Websites you visit
• Your Position
• The type of Phone you use
• Your Settings
• And a lot more

Why is that important?

Your data has a lot of value!

Even if a Service is free, a company can earn money by collecting information about you.

Most Websites make Money with Advertisements.

When a Company wants to sell their Products, they can put Ads on the Internet. Often they will use a Google Service for that, since many people use them. You have probably seen a lot of Ads, for example on YouTube or Google.

Interesting! If you haven`t changed any Settings, Google probably knows:

• Where you live
• Where you work
• What food you like
• How much you earn
• Your daily Routine
• What you do in your freetime
• ... and likely a lot more

Do you use Amazon for Shopping or just looking at stuff?

Very relatable. If you haven`t changed any Settings, Amazon probably knows:

• How much money you earn
• What your Hobbies are
• If you have Children
• If you are married
• Where you live
• What you will buy in the future and when

Task 1:

Check your Safari Settings

1. Open your Settings
2. Search for the Option "Safari" and tap on it
3. Scroll down to the Section "Privacy and Security"
4. Enable the Option "Prevent Cross-Site Tracking"
5. Enable the Option "Privacy preserving Ad Measurement"

Turn off personalised Ads for Apple Advertising

1. Open your Settings
2. Search for the Menu Point "Privacy & Security" and tap on it
3. Scroll down to the Button "Apple Advertising" and tap on it
4. Deselect the Option "Personalised Ads" on the bottom
