THE LIBRARIAN AS A MODERATOR
- 7 sessions, 7 students. Decide the structure and the number of books, even the place to meet (it could also be outdoors)
- Meeting dates/times: Fridays (in the library), 10:00-11:00 a.m.
- BOOK: The Midnight Library
- Each session is assigned several chapters to read.
main features
10:00 – 10:10 Small breakfast. Overview of the session's chapters. 10:10 – 10:25 Analysis of the main topics/actions/characters. Self-exploration questions. 10:25 – 10:45 Activity [this is handed over to the co-moderator for his/her notes]10:45 – 10:55 Closing [conclusions, list of the chapters for the next session]
Session structure
1. Bringing something for the group to have breakfast [the library reimburses the ticket] 2. Present an overview of the corresponding chapters. 3. Writing notes and sharing them (ex. Google Docs)
Co-moderator: 1 student per session
