Facts about London

London is situated in England, in the United Kingdom. It is in the South-East of England. London has a population of 8,799,800 inhabitants, making it the biggest city in England. It is the capital of England. London occupies over 620 square miles.

The River Thames is the longest river in England. It is a river that flows through Southern England, including London.

London’s red double decker buses are an iconic symbol of England. They have two storeys or blocks and are known for their red colour.

The quickest way to get around London is the Tube. It is a vast network of tunnels and trains. There are 12 lines.
