Plot

After winning his fourth Piston Cup, Lightning McQueen returns to Radiator Springs to spend his vacations with his friends. However, Italian formula race car Francesco Bernoulli challenges Lightning to take part in the World Grand Prix, an international three-race event created by a oil tycoon who intends to promote his new environmentally friendly fuel, so he invites race cars from around the world to compete. Lightning go with his best friend Mater(and other friends) to Tokyo for the first race of the World Grand Prix.

Once in Tokyo, Mater is mistaken for a great spy, so Agent Finn McMissile takes him with his partner Holley to complete a secret mission around the world while Lighting is on the run.
