- Gravity pulls rainwater downhill where it gathers into small streams. - These streams join one another and form bigger streams. - Big streams or rivers cause more erosion than little streams. - Rivers form valleys as they erode deeper into the landscape. - The shape of the valley formed depends on type of rocks present and the speed, size, and
age of the river. - As rivers drain, the river eroded the rock and cut farther down into the rock. - It could erode a lot of sediment and carry it away forming canyons. Valleys and canyons are formed by erosion. This process took many millions of years.

A delta is a land form comprised of sediments found at the mouth of the river. A delta can only form when river channels carry sediments into another body of water. A landscape is the visible features of an area of land, its landforms, and how they integrate with natural or man-made features, A landscape includes ;mountains, hills, water bodies such as rivers, lakes, ponds and the sea, living elements of land cover including indigenous vegetation, human elements including different forms of land use, buildings, and structures, and transitory elements such as lighting and weather conditions.

CANYON FORMATION
- Gravity pulls rainwater downhill where it gathers into small streams. - These streams join one another and form bigger streams. - Big streams or rivers cause more erosion than little streams. - Rivers form valleys as they erode deeper into the landscape. - The shape of the valley formed depends on type of rocks present and the speed, size, and age of the river. - As rivers drain, the river eroded the rock and cut farther down into the rock. - It could erode a lot of sediment and carry it away forming canyons. Valleys and canyons are formed by erosion. This process took many millions of years.

DELTA FORMATION
A delta is a land form comprised of sediments found at the mouth of the river. A delta can only form when river channels carry sediments into another body of water. Herodotus, a Greek historian, first used the term "delta" for the Nile River in Egypt. This is because the sediment land mass developed at mouth of this river formed a triangular shape that looks like the upper case Greek letter delta.
