« Miusic to Mister Rait » [Música para Mister Right] de Jesús Balmori es un texto satírico que recalca el nuevo paisaje lingüístico que surge con la ocupación estadounidense.
Se burla del inglés de los filipinos cuando intentan imitar a los americanos. El texto transcribe ortográficamente la forma como pronuncian el inglés los filipinos de habla hispana.
Las dos lenguas son difíciles de distinguir: hay una porosidad voluntaria. Según Marlon James Sales , el poema de Balmori inventa una “traducción híbrida que no es ni inglés ni castellano” con el fin de dar cuenta de “la incapacidad de los filipinos de sonar plenamente como americanos” a pesar de sus esfuerzos.
Las vocales inglesas son sustituidas por un sistema más simplificado. Por ejemplo, se dice /a/ en vez del sonido /ʌ/ en las palabras “must” y “much”. Asimismo, la /h/ aspirada inglesa se convierte en la jota castellana.

Ang « Miusic to Mister Rait » [Música para Mister Right] de Jesús Balmori ay isang tekstong satiriko na nagtatampok sa bagong kaligirang lingguwistiko na ibinunga ng pananakop ng mga Americano.
Pinagtatawanan dito ang Ingles ng mga Filipino kapag sinusubok nilang gayahin sa pagbigkas ang mga Americano. Nakasulat ang teksto sa paraang ipinapakita kung paano bumigkas ng Ingles ang mga Filipinong bihasa sa pagsasalita ng Español.
Mahirap mapag-iba ang dalawang wika: may sadyang likas na pagsasanib. Ayon kay Sales, sa tula ni Balmori ay naimbento ang "pinaghalong salin na hindi Ingles ni Español" upang maipabatid ang "kawalan ng kakayahan ng mga Filipino na ganap na magtunog-Americano" sa kabila ng mga pagsisikap nila.

It mocks how Filipinos speak English when they try to imitate the Americans. The text orthographically transcribes the way Spanish-speaking Filipinos pronounce English.
