Argument of the film

Introduction

Coach Carter is a dramatic film based on true events that was released in 2005. It is directed by Thomas Carter and stars Samuel L. Jackson.The story revolves around Ken Carter (his actor is Samuel L. Jackson), a former basketball player and successful businessman who decides to return to his old school, Richmond High School, in a troubled neighborhood in California, to become the basketball team's coach.

Argument

Carter finds a team with a history of low academic and disciplinary performance. To change the players' mindset and focus, he imposes strict rules that include maintaining high academic standards, attending classes, and signing performance contracts.

Despite the initial arguments with the players about his contract. The boys start showing great skills at basketball and having a pretty good win streak. They also face personal and social challenges off the court, such as gang violence and negative influences.

Argument

When the players fail to meet the academic standards set, Carter makes a controversial decision: he shuts down the gym and suspends games until the players improve their grades. This action sparks significant controversy in the community and tests Carter's and the players' determination.

As the team faces the consequences of the suspension and confronts personal hardships, Carter continues to encourage the players to strive for their education and future.
