SITUATION 1

You want to go to a party and you ask for permission to your dad. He tells you that you can't go and reminds you the obligation to do the homework and study for an important exam you have tomorrow.

SITUATION 2

You want your parents to buy you a motorbike. So, you request your mom politely if they can buy it. She answers you it's not possible now. She also tells you that you don't need a motorbike. She obliges you to walk to school and do some sport.

SITUATION 3

You would like to celebrate your birthday party in Burguer King. You tell your mother and she says it's not possible there because that's unhealthy food. She says your doctor prohibited you to eat junk food. Instead, she allows you to have the party in your garden.

SITUATION 4

Tell your mum that you need new jeans. Your mum tells you that she can buy them for you. You tell her that it's not necessary because you have to go out to buy a book for school too. She agrees but asks you to be back early [obligation].

SITUATION 5

You are driving your car. You are going to park and you ask a policeman if you can park there. He points to a traffic sign of prohibition and tells you. You politely ask him where you can park. He answers.

SITUATION 6

You have noticed that your 14-year-old son comes home drunk. Tell him that he can't do that again. Tell him that he must stay at home and is not allowed to go out again in one month.

SITUATION 7

You are at school and you like your classmate. He/She is very nice. Invite him/her to go to the cinema with you. He/she says "yes" and offers to go on his/her motorbike. Ask him/her if you can meet again.

You go to a clothes shop and the shop assistant offers you help. You say you're looking for a present. Ask her to advice you what to buy. Say the present is for your dad. Tell her you don't have much money so you shouldn't buy something very expensive.
