It was sent by the English Parliament to King Charles I. It was sent not only to ask the King to not add any taxes without the consent of the Parliament, but most importantly to ask him the recognition of some important rights such as personal inviolability or the fact that no man can be sent to prison or executed without a trial as described in the previous English laws

Robinson Crusoe
Daniel Defoe in his masterpiece wants to describe the society that Robinson was creating in the new island that is similar to what was happening in the 18th century with England and the colonized people. Robinson in fact has an individualistic outlook, for example he imposes his culture in the island and teaches some simple words like 'master' that is a clear sign of superiority of Robinson. So we can say that the natives are the symbol of the colonized

Even today we have similar situations where people don't have some rights that we take for granded, for example the freedom of thought and speech. In some places in the world like Europe we can say that these rights are guaranteed almost everywhere, but in other places like also USA some people are executed even if not guilty or they are treated in a cruel way by the police just for the color of their skin. So today there are a lot of associations fighting for their rights
