BIOGRAPHY

-He was born in London.When he was only ten years old his mother died, abandoning his career as a minister and began in the business world. In 1684, Defoe married the young Mary Tuffley. They had eight children, six of whom survived. -In 1719 he published his first work of fiction, Life and Extraordinary and Portentous Adventures of Robinson Crusoe of York, a work with which he obtained great popularity.

LITERARY GENRE

Daniel was one of the leading writers in the literary world. His work is credited with initiating the adventure novel, realistic fiction as a literary genre.
