Difference present perfect- past simple
Present perfectWe use the present perfect to talk about actions that started in the past and continue up to now, have very recently finished, or have connection with the present. We also use it when we don´t specify the time when the action happened. The present perfect is often used with time expressions which indicate time up to now, for example today, this year, in the last six months.
