How was the conquest of Al-Andalus?
In 711, the army of Berbers from North Africa under the command of Tariq ibn Ziyad crossed the Strait of Gibraltar, defeated the last Visigothic king and began the conquest of the Peninsula.
How was the independent emirate?
It was a period of peaceful coexistence between the various religions that made up Andalusian society and of great economic and cultural splendor for Al-Andalus.
The caliphate
It was the system of government established in Al-Andalus between 929 and 1031 and constitutes the most splendor period in its history.
Taifa kingdoms
The taifas were small kingdoms into which the Caliphate of Córdoba was divided after the Cordoba Revolution.
The Nasrid kingdom of Granada
It was a Muslim state located in the south of the Iberian Peninsula, with its capital in the city of Granada, which existed during the Middle Ages. Nasrid kingdom in 1482, before the start of the war in Granada.
