Tropical Medicine Graduate Certificate (G-CERT) Program

What is the G-Cert Program?

The Tropical Medicine G-Cert program is a post-baccalaureate certificate for students who finish their bacherlor's degree and have a interest in tropical infectious disease, microbiology, and immunology

Why G-Cert Program?

  • Interest in Tropical Medicine
  • Opportunity to attend classes after graduating, especially science and medicine related
  • After completing the program, you will only require one more year to pursue a Master's degree if you choose to
  • Meet others who share a interest in medicine

How to Complete the Program

The Hard Stuff....

  • A minimum of 15 credit hours of coursework at UH Mānoa of which at least nine of which must be at the graduate level (600-700).
  • Passing the required courses with a grade of B or higher, and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 for all courses counted towards the certificate.
  • A Capstone Project.
  • It is expected that students will complete the certificate degree program within 2 semesters of full-time enrollment.
