Nevada's origin

Nevada is one of the fifty states that, along with Washington D.C., make up the United States of America. Its capital is Carson City and its largest city is Las Vegas, famous for its casinos and the legalization of gambling. The first European explorers to explore the Nevada area were the Spanish, who gave it the name Nevada, because of the snow that covered the mountains in winter. It was part of the Viceroyalty of New Spain until 1821, the date of the independence of Mexico, becoming part of Mexico. In 1848, with the end of the Mexican-American War, it became part of the United States.

GEOGRAPHICAL FEATURE

The Sierra

Sierra Nevada is a mountain range located for the most part in the state of California, United States, and in a lesser part (the Carson mountain range), penetrates the state of Nevada. Informally it is also known by the names of The Sierra or The Sierras, and its Spanish name is due to the fact that it was described for the first time by the priest Pedro Font in April 1776.

The Grand Canyon

The Grand Canyon (in English, Grand Canyon), also known in Spanish as Gran Cañón del Colorado, is a spectacular and steep gorge carved out by the Colorado River over millions of years in northern Arizona, United States. It is located for the most part within the Grand Canyon National Park (one of the first natural parks in the United States). It was declared a World Heritage Site in 1979 by Unesco.

The stamp has the state motto: 'Todo por Nuestro País' in the inner circle. The 36 stars in the inner white circle represent Nevada's position as the 36th state of the union.

PLACES/CITIES TO VISIT

Las Vegas

Las Vegas, in Nevada's Mojave Desert, is a resort city famous for its active nightlife, centered around 24-hour casinos and other entertainment options. Its main street and its core is "The Strip", with a little more than four miles in length. This boulevard is home to themed hotels with elaborate displays, such as fountains synchronized to music or replicas of an Egyptian pyramid, the Grand Canal in Venice, and the Eiffel Tower.

Fremont Street Experience

Fremont Street Experience (Spanish: Fremont Street Experience) is a pedestrian street and a tourist attraction in downtown Las Vegas, Nevada. The Fremont Experience occupies five blocks of western Fremont street, including the area known for years as "Glitter Gulch," and portions of the adjacent street.

GASTRONOMY OF THE STATE

In Nevada there is a very varied gastronomy, they eat all the foods from different countries

Prawn cocktail

It is the typical dish of Las Vegas. It is not originally from there, but it was introduced to the city at the Golden Gate casino in 1959. They started giving it at the casino for $0.50 and now it costs $4

Waffles and fried chicken

Waffles are usually sweet, but in Vegas they are accompanied with salty ingredients to make it like a snack in many restaurants they serve menus with different types of condiments to add to the waffles. The most popular foods are: cupcakes, hot dogs, Asian food, hamburgers, tacos and arepas among many others.

Conclusion

In my opinion, Nevada is a spectacular place, it has many entertainment venues both at night and during the day. What is most striking is the variety of food that there is, apart from fast food.
