1. What is the orientation and who is its invetor?
The orientation is the action of running a race where participants use a special map and compass to navigate the various terrains.
La orientación fue inventada por Frank Parsons.
2.WHEN AND WHY DID ORIENTATION APPEAR FOR THE FIRST TIME?
La orientación surgió el 7 de octuble de 1890,siendo organizada por el club noruego Tialve. .

3. WHAT IS A COMPASS AND HOW IS IT USED?
Una brújula es un instrumento que tiene una aguja imantada la cual gira sobre un eje y señala el norte mágnetico.

Los elementos naturales sirven para situar los puntos cardinales para tener una referencia de la dirección que debemos tomar.

Un plano es una orientación de una zona determinada a una escala menor.
It is oriented towards the geographic north.

Es la relación que existe entre el tamaño del mapa y los mismos en la realidad. Es decir donde un centimetro mide en el mapa, en la realidad mide 100m.Todos los mapas llevan una escala.
It is used to tell us how many meters we must travel from one point to another point.

8. WHAT IS A RAID?
El Raid es una competición de orientación, disputada en la naturaleza, en donde se valora la capacidad de los equipos para desplazarse con libertad de varias horas lo más rápidamente posible, sobre un trayecto libremente escogido por los participantes, comportando pasos obligados y optativos.
