how was the fashion in the 80s ?

introduction:

The 80s were a really interesting years because people could express, feel, say, dress up... like ever they wanted. Many people bougth strange clothes and started combining or creating new ones. Those years were the rebellion years if we talk about fashion.

The 80s were the perfect opportunity of the teenager to be listen; that's why there were many strange and extravagants clothes.Something that stand out people curiosity.

SOCIAL CLASS

The social classes were divided into the rich people and the urbans tribes:RICH PEOPLE : This social class had lot of money so they could buy the popular clothes. Those people only dressed up with Levi's or Armani's jeans and with folds at the end showing the "poshy" socks of rombos Burlington.

In the 80s were much money differences... between the rich people, the normal ones, the ones who lived in the streets, etc. So, the form that they expressed things or the ideology was also different. Those characteristics affect, of course, on the clothes.

In summer they wore deck shoes and in winter boots... and, of course, the typical jumpers tie around the neck, like a scarf.They also used to wear hoddies, cardigans, costumes, enormous dresses...

. HEAVY.this group was identify because they normally wore very dark clothes. The heavies wore leather dark jackets with badges, patch of rock music groups, tight trousers and a necklace with spikes.

SOCIAL CLASS

THE URBANS TRIBES Those were people who met in one place only for being together because they shared the same ideology or the expressions were very similar. But there were a lot of different groups in the urban tribes:

PUNK: This style was like entering in our class: " a jungle" because the hair was really short with mohicans and they were very colorful. But the "make up" was darkly and the clothes very big, long and broken T-shirts. They also had very hight delinear.

SOCIAL CLASS

HIPPIES:

Something that identify this style is that they were very romantic and they only wanted peace. They thought in themselves... forgetting about everything around them. As nowadays "the hippies" wore flowery clothes and releated with the Earth colours. They also wore flowers and plants around the head like a crown.

The Boys: They had a long quiff and also a very hight boots with a toe. They used to wear black opened jackets and diamonds clothes. They wore earrings too.

THE ROCKERS:

I know that the name "rockers" sounds like heavy and crazy but... it was exactly the opposite: The rockers were also called rockabilly. This style depended in the sex of the person because the girls dressed up with diferent things than boys . Girl's one was inspired in the 40s and 50s . They used to putted on "looks" with the neckline in heart form and nothing on the shoulders. On the lower parts of the body they wore tight skirt or shorts, making waves on the girl's shape. the heel had to be hight and the make up very pretty and with an instensive red on their lips

MY STYLE

MY STYLE IS THE ROCKERS OR ROCKABILLY GIRLS !!!!!

I'm wearing my mother's 80s dress which was a rockabilly dress: The dress is long, black and tight to the body with little white spoots on it. I dress up with a red : belt, kerchief, a handbag and heels. I'm also wearing sunglasses wich have like an elegant style and my hair is tie in a ponytail. Mostly as this photo.
