The beginning of the day

Farewell... head to shopping

In the morning, we said goodbye to our host family with a little sadness. Suzanne hugged us and we thanked her. We were going to miss these good dishes, like the pizza of the day before (on the picture)... Then, we took the bus, direction Grafton Street to join our comrades, we couldn't wait!

Shops in Dublin

9:15 am

Arriving in Grafton Street, we were in a hurry to shop on the street. We couldn't wait so long that we were stressing with joy. The stores were sublime, many were luxury like "Dior" and "Cartier". But there were also those of souvenirs to bring back gifts to the family. In addition, at the end of the street there was a large shopping center "Stephen's green", it was very beautiful. Finally, we had to go to the boat "The Jeanie Johnston", we left at 10:45 from "Grafton Street".

The Jeanie Johnston

11:30 am

We visited this beautiful boat that can be seen in the photo, its exterior facade is beautiful! Then, a lady gave us a guided tour telling us the story of the passengers... Families took tickets to try to survive the Great Famine by traveling in the Jeanie Johnston. In this boat, no one has died it is a miracle! In it, the food was exported to England which slightly overexploited Ireland at that time. A family who told their story to the owners was able to save the purchase price of the ticket following their moving adventure. In this ship, a woman gave birth to a newborn baby thanks to the help of many people like the doctor; To thank these gestures, she made her child wear 13 names with all the people who helped her during her delivery. During the ride, there were 4 people per wooden bed, it was not very comfortable. They couldn't get out of the calles except for the times when they had to empty the buckets used as toilets for one or two people, then some were seasick and vomited so it wasn't very clean. In conclusion, I really enjoyed visiting this boat because it was quiet and relaxing. In addition, the story of the Great Famine and the passengers of the Jeanie Johnston, interested me a lot!

The picnic

12:35 Pm

We enjoyed our picnic in the park "St Stephen's green" which is very beautiful and big! Our lunch prepared by the family was delicious and very garnished. However, during this tasting, seagulls were circling us and one came to totally prick the sandwich of one of my comrades, it was funny but I was also afraid that this animal would come back to prick mine. Afterwards, we could do what we wanted as long as we were at a specific time at the meeting point, I really enjoyed having this freedom! So, with a girlfriend, we went back to the stores to finalize our purchases and walk around. To finish, we left for the boat around 1:40 pm...

The boat

4:15 pm

After about 1h15 of endless waiting in the bus due to a delay, it was finally time for us to board our boat the "Irish ferries"! We were looking forward to this although there was nostalgia following the end of the trip. I loved taking the boat. To be able to walk freely discovering every little part of the boat while going to bed around 10:30 pm, it was fabulous! And then, the "Irish ferries" mark both the beginning and the end of a very beautiful trip in Ireland ! Around 6:30 pm, we had our dinner cooked by the boat. I chose the hamburger with the fries, then, for dessert we had an ice cream and the choice of a drink; I was a little disappointed that there is no ice tea fishing but good tanpis. It was a great meal! Then, the time for curfew quickly arrived... Despite some incidents during the evening, I have very good memories! In my bunk, I spent a beautiful night, lulled by the waves...

Conclusion

To conclude, I really enjoyed this day because it was very diverse and strong in emotion between the farewell with the family, the reunion with the comrades of bus 2, the seagull who stole the picnic, the boat and the nostalgia of the last day in Ireland!; I wasn't bored, I went from laughter to tears!Thank you for a nice day !
