Lingua Speech, Swallow, and Voice Services, often called "Lingua", was created in order to bring much needed speech-language and feeding services to NEPA. With the experiences gained in prominent rehabilitation hospitals and leading inpatient hospitals with some of the best providers in the county, there was much to share with the community. Lingua means tongue in Italian and the company is a homage to my immigrant family, reminding me of where I came from. The tongue is the root for all things powerful in speech, swallowing, feeding, and breathing.

Lingua is very selective of who we bring on board. We are a team of passionate, self-driven, and mostly compassionate professionals. Our specialities blend together to make a cohesive company. We are so happy to have you joining the team!

Clinic Workflow

Chelsea and Lilly manage clinic intakes

1. Inquiry comes in ( website, call, email) 2. Contact is provided a welcome email with intake forms 3. Lilly creates a folder with patient initials in your " Kristen" folder and adds: - Intake Form (PDF) - Blank Session Note, Superbill, Eval Results (DOC) 4. Lilly connects contact and therapist via email

You manage your schedule

Once Lilly connects you with the contact, please reply within 24 hours to the email with days/times that work best! After you set on a time, add it to the Lingua Therapy Services calendar (not yours!) with: 1. The patients initials 2. Eval or Treatment 3. Add the parents email 4. Where the services are occuring - 311 Room 1,2, or 3 - 315 Room 1,2,3, or 4 - Virtually or In Home

This is mandatory

If this step is not completed, you will not be paid.

You will do the same for ongoing sessions.

Evaluations

Treatments

  • Evaluate the patient
  • Complete Evaluation Results and Treatment plan and goals
(located in your patients folder)
  • Treatments are completed via a Google doc
  • Complete Progress Note each time you have a session (located in your patients folder)

* We also have Google Forms for longer more comprehensive Evaluations but therapist tend to just use the Evaluation Results document and write good details! You can see these here:

Billing

Lingua is private pay only

Billing occurs through a HIPPA complaint app called IVY Pay. All billing is handled by Chelsea. This is why having calendar appointments is very important. After an eval occurs, the family will get a text message and place their card on file. The card stays on file for session charges. Please always remind families that they will receive a text after their evalaution. Alert them that it is coming from IVY pay and looks like an automated text.

Use your timesheet

You will be paid every 15th and last day of the month. Please give either your venmo or paypal handle to Chelsea for payment.

Your timesheet is in your folder labeled: "Kristen Invoice 2023" 1. Add your clients initials to the client page 2. Use the months to fill out date, client, and time spent with client. 3. Assure this is filled out on the 15th and last day of every month.

If this step is not completed and does not match the calendary, you will not be paid.

THANKS

You are now ready to see your first patient. Do not hesitate with any questions!
