Hi I'm Ulisse, today I will tell you about my adventures.

ITACA, gREECE

The Odyssey tells of Odysseus' adventurous and difficult journey home after the destruction of Troy. Its homeland is Ithaca, off the western coast of Greece. From the Aegean Sea it must therefore reach the Ionian Sea. It is not a very long journey, but amidst many misadventures, it takes Odysseus ten years to see his land Ithaca again, wandering almost the entire Mediterranean basin. These are the places he "visited" in his endless wanderings. Ithaca is the name of the homeland of Ulysses and of the capital of the kingdom of Kefalonia

GREEK THEATRE

Symbol of Taormina, it is one of the most important monuments of Magna Graecia: after that of Syracuse, it is the largest Greek theatre, with a diameter of 110 metres. Built in the 3rd century, in Hellenic style with Corinthian columns, it underwent architectural changes over the centuries especially during the Roman era which transformed it into an amphitheater for gladiatorial shows.

CarvajaL palace

It rises in the center of Taormina, on the square that had been the agora of the ancient Greek city of Tauromenion, on the original nucleus consisting of the cubic tower built by the Arabs between 902 and 1079, to which the lateral wings were added later. The Palace is the synthesis of the history of Taormina with the battlements of the Arab-style tower, the mullioned windows in the Catalan-Gothic style and the fifteenth-century hall where the Parliament of the Norman era met. Residence of the Corvaja family, it houses the headquarters of the autonomous tourist and stay agency and a museum of Sicilian arts and traditions.
