Who was jane austen?

Jane Austen was an English novelist who contributed to what has been called the novel of manners. - lived among minor landed gentry and country clergy - earliest known writings: parodies - In her novels she created the comedy of manners of middle-class English life in her time - writing noted for its wit, realism, sympathy and brilliant prose style.
