Introduction

Freddie Mercury was a British singer, known as the lead vocalist and frontman of the rock band Queen.Freddie was born on september 5 1946 in Stone Town, on the Zanzibar Island.

His original name was Farrokh Bulsara, and his parents were Parsi.The youg Farrok grew up between Zanzibar and India. From early age he was artistically inclined and studied piano. In 1964 the Bulsara family moved to Feltham, England, where Freddie studied graphie arts in a college.

He become friends with Brian May and Roger Taylor and started play music together. In 1970, with the bassist John Deacon, the four friends fouded the Queen.The Queen logo was designed by Freddie.

Freddie was very shy and gentle in private, but on the stage he was a flamboyant showman.With his four octave vocal extention and stage presence he was probably the best rock frontman of all times and he wrote famous songs like Bohemian Rapsody, Whe are the campions, Somebody to love.

Remarkable was his performance at live aid in 1985, Freddie died on november 24 1991 when he was 45, but his music is even now "A KIND OF MAGIC"
