He is considered one of the most important composers in the history of music. Being the last great representative of Viennese classicism. Beethoven managed to make the music of Romanticism transcend, influencing a diversity of musical works of the 19th century.
His paternal grandfather Ludwig was married to Maria Josepha Poll. They had three children and the only one who survived childhood was Beethoven's father who married Maria Magdalena Keverich and they had Beethoven.

His art was expressed in numerous genres and although the symphonies were the main source of his international popularity, his impact proved to be mainly significant in his works for piano and chamber music.

It was common for him to stop attending classes and stay home to practice music.On March 26, 1778, when he was seven years old, Beethoven gave his first public performance in Cologne, to which his father said that it was at the age of six, so it was always believed that Beethoven was a year younger.

Beethoven's father wanted to make Ludwig a new child prodigy, he began to teach him piano, organ and clarinet at an early age. At midnight Beethoven was forced to get out of bed and play the piano for his father.

In 1782, when he was eleven years old, Beethoven published his first composition, entitled Nine Variations on a March by Ernst Christoph Dressler.
In total he composed 9 symphonies, 5 piano concertos, a violin concerto, 1 triple concerto for violin, cello and piano, 32 piano sonatas, 10 violin and piano sonatas, 5 cello and piano sonatas, 16 string quartets, a mass, an opera and a ballet
