The causes it´s because his friend Jacob Marley that died go with scrooge when he was a ghost with powers and other ghosts that are Past, Present and Future and all show how was in the past and what happens in his future.
In the transition of the story scrooge change a lot because he was a bad person and in the last of the book or of the movie was a very good person.
In conclusion scrooge have the best change that he can.
The effects of the change of scrooge were very good because he invited a lot of people to give Christmas gifts and a Christmas dinner and that was a good change for him.
