Causes
Most people see plants and trees as non-living things.
Cutting down trees have been accepted in communities because of how many people cut them down and how long they have been cutting them down for.

] caus
People cut down trees and kill plants to help themselves prosper.
Direct effect
There will be more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, expediting climate change.
Problem
Causes
Effects
People are too uncaring towards the environment, oblivious to all of the good it does for us. Instead of respecting the environment, we harm it, even though all it did was help us.
Less plants and trees mean less oxygen for all beings to breathe.
Environmental Cause and effect
Furthermore, big companies, such as logging industries and mining companies are all contributing to climate change through their large-scale economic activities. The logging industries cut down trees that provide us oxygen and reduce carbon dioxide, while the mining companies pollute water and soil when they mine for oil, natural gas, and raw materials. Combined with other large corporations that release great amounts of carbon emissions, they are some of the major contributors to climate change. With carbon emissions and greenhouse gases trapped in the atmosphere, climate change will start happening sooner. Less trees will exacerbate this problem because of less oxygen and more carbon dioxide. Thus, to resolve this problem, we must start targeting large companies that contribute to climate change the most, and stop logging companies from cutting down trees.
To solve this problem, instead of blaming the ordinary people for contributing to hurting the environment, and ultimately climate change, we must shift our focus towards big corporations. To demonstrate, the view of environmentalism that "blames the consumer for the climate crisis and preaches that temperatures are going up because we forgot to bring a reusable bag to the store" will not work (Bastida 2:00). Blaming the people will not get anywhere because they do not have to listen, but targeting the large companies will. It is important to realize that, "'In reality, it’s the corporations that are contributing the most to climate change" (Berkshire 7). Attacking the corporations will greatly reduce the carbon emissions, and delay climate change.
Our problem is that most people do not realize that harming the plants and trees are doing nothing but hurting themselves. Trees only assist humans in living, and plus, what harm have they ever done to humans? Helping them live is the most we can do to support them. In fact, as John Pigeon says, "'We have to protect our trees; that's our job'" (Kimmerer and Smith 23). It is the duty of humankind to protect trees from harm, as they provide us with the essentials for living. They supply us with oxygen, while simultaneously extracting carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Therefore cutting down trees and abusing them is unfair toward the trees and pernicious toward humans.

The problem and the solution
Atmosphere: A mixture of gases that surround the Earth.
Atmosphere: A mixture of gases that surround the Earth.
Nature: All plants, animals, features, and products of the Earth. (Not humans creations)
Carbon emissions: The burning of fossil fuels, which create carbon dioxide emissions, which trap the heat from exiting our atmosphere.

Essential Vocabulary
Climate change: Climate change is where the world starts heating up because of heat trapping gases, mainly produced by humans burning fossil fuels.
