What is the present continuous?

It is the way in which we express the actions that are carried out at the moment in this case the verbs have to be accompanied by the ing to indicate the grammatical tense which is accompanied by the verb to be which gives meaning to the situation.

  • I run
  • I´m running
  • you cry
  • you are crying
  • They talk
  • They are talking

Verbs that end in-e (make/write etc) → ing

Rule Number 1

Examples

Live → Living

Have → Having

Make → Making

We are making a chocolate cake.

Rule number three

Do not double the letter of the word ends in two consonants. for example :

help - helping talk - talking work - working

the teacher jorge is talking with the teacher elba

sometimes a word ends in a vowel + a consonant. For example: get, run, swim.

get - getting run - running swim - swimming Emma is running.
