Personal Dimension

1. The denier: "Climate Change is in the past"

Thinking that climate change is part of the past is a common attitude among individuals, especially climate change deniers. "Climate change is not a current or future concern", they may say. In addition, it is believed that as climate change happened naturally in the past, it is occurring naturally in the present.

2. The conspirator

The global climate crisis has generated many conspirators. These are those that intend to invalidate climate change by affirming fallacies that deny the scientific consensus behind the issue. A conspirator may say, “climate change scientists are involved in a vast conspiracy to deceive”.

Consumer Dimension

1. The Apathetic

"My actions don't contribute in any negative way" , they may say. Personal responsibility and individual efforts are important, but not for the apathetic. The consumption patterns that have been normal and are generating negative effects will continue to prosper and destroy the planet.

2. The Deceived

Coca Cola now elaborates recycled plastic for all its products. This has been their new marketing strategy and has gotten the attention of the public."By buying their products I'm contributing to a good cause", they may say. In this situation, it may be helpful to question if Coca Cola is really making a significant contribution.

Citizen Dimension

1. The skeptical

In order to generate positive effects for the climate issue, economical support is needed. The skeptical may say, “prioritizing environmental protection and sustainability negatively impacts economic growth and development”. It may be important to question if this attitude does not generate significantly less support to a cause that really needs it.

2. The Social Media Enthusiast

Reposting social media content will help diminish the issue. It is well known that social media is a good way to spread information, but it is important to consider if this action is really enough. "A climate crisis is occurring around the globe, so reposting consciousness posts will generate a positive impact", they may say.

1. The irresponsable financier

The world of economics is filled with a financial sector that can have a huge impact on the climate crisis. This area is huge and many actors like banks, investment firms, insurance companies, stock exchanges, and regulatory bodies, have an important responsibility for the sector's activities. An irresponsible financier may say, “Climate change is not my concern, my focus is solely on maximizing financial returns”.

2. The dismissive economist

The area of economics provides many tools in order to elaborate research that has the potential to inform everyone. It is important for an economist to provide its knowledge to help an important cause. Nevertheless, a dismissive economist may say, “I don't see the relevance of researching climate change; it's not a significant factor in economic analysis or policy-making”.
