• As an Instructional Technologist Coach this year, I had the incredible opportunity to inspire and empower educators to integrate innovative technology into their teaching practices by taking the time to build rapport with everyone on my campus, and it has been nothing short of amazing!

Reflection

As a Tech instructional coach, I am committed to my own growth and development in this role. I understand the importance of staying up-to-date with the ever-evolving world of educational technology. To achieve this, I actively seek out opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills.

As an Instructional Technologist Coach, this year:

Growth

• Throughout the year, I worked tirelessly to support teachers in creating dynamic and engaging learning experiences for their students, leveraging the power of innovative tools and platforms. Whether it was helping them navigate the HISD approved edtech Platforms, demonstrating new instructional strategies, or providing personalized coaching, I was there every step of the way to ensure their success.

Student Learners

As part of the admin team, it is important for us to prioritize the effective use of Chromebooks by students.

As an instructional coach, I have learned that working with adult learners can be both rewarding and challenging. .

GROWING MOMENTS: What did I learn? What did I learn about coaching? About myself?

I need to give more timely feedback: Giving feedback is an essential aspect of my role as an instructional coach, and I am always looking for ways to grow in this area. One thing I have learned is that feedback should be specific and actionable. Another key lesson I have learned is the importance of timing when it comes to feedback. While it is important to provide feedback in a timely manner, I have found that it is also important to be mindful of when and how I deliver it. For example, if a teacher is feeling overwhelmed or stressed, they may not be as receptive to feedback. In these cases, it is important to be sensitive to their needs and approach the feedback process in a way that is supportive and constructive. I have realized that the feedback process is not a one-way street. As a coach, I am not just giving feedback, but also receiving it. This means being open to feedback from teachers and using it to improve my own coaching practices. It's a continuous learning process, and I am always looking for ways to improve my own skills and become a more effective coach.
