Echolocation
The blue light is what the animals recieve so they can determine where the location of their prey is
Dolphins produce short noises that sound like "clicks" that travel through the water and bounce of the tissue of other animals. That is how they locate their prey. A sonar wave is a sound wave that can travel under water, these are the sound waves that animals such as whales and dolphins use.
Bats use emitting high frequency sound pulses through their mouth or nose and listening to the echo that bounces back.
