Early in the year, you should have one class where you establish norms both inside the classroom and in virtual space.

Instead of creating norms you think will be good for your students, allow them to create norms for themselves.

Make sure that you revisit these norms from time to time throughout the year. It would also be helpful to have these posted somewhere in Canvas for students to refer to.

Make sure you are considering the Nine Elements of Digital Citizenship, especially Fluency and Rights and Responsibilities.
