South Africa is One of the biggest cowtries in the world. It is in the south of Africa and it is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean on the west and by the Indian Ocean on the east. The territory is so diverse: there are mountains like Drakensberg and deserts like Kalahary.

It is the largest, highest and most impressive mountain range in South Africa. It has peaks exceeding 3,000 metres.

The Kalahari is a desert region in southern Africa. With an area of 930,000 km², it is the sixth largest desert in the world.

Table Mountain is a 1086m relief in South Africa in the Western Cape province; it dominates Cape Town.

They are more difficult to see than the big fife on land becouse they are in the big Oceans around the cowntry on on the costline. They are: penguin, whale, seal, dolphins and shark.

Tourists go on safary in one of the 20 national parks - like the Kruger National Park - to see this animals.They are: elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard.

tHE APARTHEID

The Apartheid was a sistem of segregation witch disadvantaged black people in South Africa. It became law in 1948 and it was declared unligal by Nelson mandela and the (ANC) when he bacame president. Living under Apartheid meant for black people the denial of freedom. They couldn't do everything white people could do.

The rugby national team

Nelson Mandela utilized for the first time the sport to bring justice and promote peace. In the rugby team there were black and white players: this convinced people that we are all the same, regardless of skin color.
