We can use can and can't to talk about abilities in the present. EXAMPLES: I can swim. They can speak English. He can't ride a bike.

Intentions

We use be going to to talk about future plans and intentions. Usually, the decision about the future plans has already been made. Examples: 1- I am going to look for a new job. 2- She is going to become an actress.

We use be going to predict something that we think is certain to happen or which we have evidence for now.Examples: 1- Look at those black clouds. It is going to rain. 2- Look out! He is going to break that glass.
