Le comparatif d'égalité

Lorsque deux choses / personnes / situations sont de valeur égale, alors on emploie l'adverbe « as » et la phrase se construit comme suit : Sujet + verbe + « As » + adjectif + « as » + complément : I’m as tall as she is

Le comparatif de supériorité

Pour former un comparatif de supériorité en anglais, il faut faire attention à la différence entre adjectifs longs (une syllabe) et adjectifs courts (deux syllabes et +).Ici, c'est la conjonction "than" qui introduit la comparaison : Sujet + verbe + adjectif + than + complément : She is taller than you. She is more intelligent than you.

Les adjectifs de deux syllabes se terminant par -y ; -ow ; -le ; -or ; -er sont considérés comme courts.

What is science-fiction?

Science fiction, abbreviation SF or sci-fi, is a form of fiction that deals with imaginative and futuristic concepts such as advanced science and technology, space exploration, interstellar travel, parallel universes, and extraterrestrial life. The term science fiction was popularized in the 1920s. Science fiction stories can be novels, movies, TV shows, video games, comic books and other literature. Amongst famous sci-fi authors we can name Jules Verne (Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea), Frank Herbert (Dune) or Ursula K. Le Guin (The Left Hand of Darkness). Sci-fi movies and tv shows are very popular nowadays, such as: The Marvel Cinematic Universe, Avatar, Stranger Things or Rick and Morty.

FINAL TASK

- Choisir un groupe de 2 à 4 élèves max- Choisir un gadget issu d'une oeuvre de science-fiction (un film, une série, un livre) que l'on utilise aujourd'hui. - Présenter l'oeuvre de science-fiction. - Présenter le gadget, comment il était utilisé dans l'oeuvre, à quoi il servait. - Présenter comment on l'utilise de nos jours, à quoi il sert, quelle(s) entreprise(s) le produit. - Faire un diaporama (sur genially / office impress) avec des images, vidéos, les infos importantes.
