Artificial intelligence: a tool

Definition

Artificial intelligence:

• Can be a human-generated program with computational capacities powerful enough to perform tasks that usually require human intelligence
• Applies rules defined by humans, (i.e. language & conversational bots), crunches existing data to combine it (i.e. image generation) but is limited to existing data sets and exhibits no original thought (...yet.)

Artificial intelligence is the ability of a digital computer or computer-controlled robot to perform tasks commonly associated with intelligent beings.
