Date

  • The movie was first introduced in cinemas at Japan in 1954 the 3 of November by TOHO. Shortly after King Kong and ´´The beast from 20.000 fathoms´´.
  • It was depicted as a classic horror and science fiction movie and a very important film for the Japanese representing the horrors of nuclear weapons.
  • The movie´s producer was Ishiro Honda and is 1h 38min long.

Things that happened later after the events of the movie were the the birth of "DESTOROYAH" the monster that killed godzilla´s son and the creation of KIRYU, a machine built upon the bones of gojira who regained his conscious.

Gojira was first awoken due to atomic testings in the sea. Then he started to rieck habit on japan. The military tried all types of ways to defeat him: electric wires, tanks, planes, bombs but none of them worked. The only thing capable of killing him was something I can´t tell you.

Plot

The plot tells how Gojira, a monster mutated by nuclear radiation who ravages across Japan, bringing back the horrors of nuclear devastation to a country that experienced it first hand. The military try stopping him at all costs only to fail miserably.

OPINIONS

I think that its a very sad and tragic but interesting movie. And if you can handle tears I recommend you watch it.
