ISLAND
An island is an area of land completely surrounded by water.
ARCHIPIELAGO
A group of islands, like New Zealand, is called an archipielago.
ISTHMUS
An isthmus is a narrow neck of land between two larger pieces of land.
PENINSULA
A peninsula is a almost like an island. It is surrounded by water on all sides except one.
BEACH
A beach is a part of the coastline with sand or pebbles (small stones).
CLIFF
A cliff is a steep wall of rock.
CAPE
A large headland is called a cape.
GULF
A large bay is sometimes called a gulf.

A mountain range is a group of mountains.

A single mountain is called peak.

A valley is the area between two mountains.

A hill is like a mountain, but smaller and less steep.

A canyon or gorge is a deep channel cut out by a river.
