To teach effectively, you need to have classroom management and instruction. You need to make learning fun and entertaining, if not, students will be bored and take little to no interest in your lessons. Be sure to explain to your students what they are learning and why it is important. Make lasting infromational connections with your students.
Managing a classroom is the primary concern for all teachers. 
Disruptive students will be a great source of stress and frustration for any educator. Utilizing effective classroom management strategies:  creating a safe classroom environment, creating a learning community, 
utilizing time and opportunities for learning, and developing responsibility by the learner
time management is one of the challenges of the first year of teaching. Staying organized can assist you. 
designate a time for lesson planning, set your instructional materials set and ready in an accessible place, begin class/lessons on time, create procedures for routine tasks, like grading. Establish policies regarding absences and missed work. 
By doing this, you will properly prepare yourself for your firsty year. Create good habits now, so they become second-nature.
Keep positive relationships with your students, if not, you risk having a negative affect on your students' behavior. Positive relationships cause students to care about what they are learning.
Establish a positive relationship with your students by learning their names as quickly as possible. Create a seating chart and call on your students during instruction. 
As an ice breaker, have students answer a questionaire, like the one to the right. These questions will be vital to understanding your students a bit more, this way you can create an environment that is enjoyed by your students.
