Symbol

The symbol of scotland is the thistle because a legend says thatit saved them from viking's attack. The viking trampled the thistle that make them scream so the scottish noticed the where attacked and survived.

Landscape

The Scottish landscape is one of the most beautyful of the UK because it has valley called "glens", lakes called "lochs" and spectacular beaches on the Atlantic coasts and in the North sea

History

Scotland had a lot of important people like scientists, engineers and inventors who invented things like pneumatics tyres and television.

Importants cities

One of the most importants cities is the capital Edinburgh that is famous thanks to the Edinburgh International Festival where people can listen to music and dance because of this every year a lot of tourists come all over the world. The capital is famous also for his big and beautyfull castle on an hill.

Glasgow is the biggest city of Scotland and his business capital but also a green place.

Traditions

One of the most famous Scottish traditions is the Kilt, a skirt that is handed down from generation to generation. There are a lot of different colours for Kilt but the iconic square pattern is always the same.

In Scotland a lot of people can play the bagpipe a traditional istrument that sometimes have the same pattern as the Kilt.

Primary sector

The primary sector is based on sheep and cattle's breedings. In the south of Scotland we can found a lot of differents crops: barley, potatoes, fruits especially strawberries and raspberries.

Secondary sector

The Scotland's secondary sector is more developed in the south beacause is favoured by the carbon's mines and the extraction of petrolium from the North Sea

Tertiary sector

The tourism in Scotland is important and is concentrated in the big cities like Edinburgh and Glasgow. In scotland the ways of communication are very developed.
