What makes Sherlock Holmes a timeless character, who is still being depicted almost two hundred years after he was first created?

Before meeting Sherlock, you need to collect information about him to prepare yourself: Use your best detective skills to find information on the internet about this famous character.

1 - Sir Arthur Conan Doyle wrote 60 stories about Sherlock Holmes. 2 - A Study in Scarlet introduced the character of Detective Sherlock Holmes. 3 - Doyle's novel was published in 1890. 4 - The Sign of Four (1890), The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (1892), The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes (1894) and The Hound of Baskervilles (1901) are the four most popular Sherlock Holmes books.

5 - Sherlock Holmes is a detective of the late 19th and early 20th centuries (a part of the Victorian era). 6 - Holmes is famous for his prowess at using logic and astute observation to solve cases. 7 - Almost all the stories were narrated by Holmes' friend and biographer Dr John Watson. 8 - His best friend and housemate Dr Watson, his enemy Moriarty, and his housekeeper Mrs. Hudson became popular characters.

9 - His catchphrase is "Elementary, my dear Watson." 10 - There have been thousands of adaptations of Sherlock Holmes. 11 - Jeremy Brett yed Sherlock Holmes from 1984 to 1994. 12 - Robert Downey, Jr. played Sherlock Holmes in a trilogy.
