Europe is the main place that WW2 took place with battles taking place all over the continent in various times. After the war ended Europe was left with millions of people dead and many others homeless, until this day the effect of WW2 are still felt by many European countries across Europe

Germany played one of the biggest roles in the war as they would be the ones to start it by invading poland. They had used tactics that had not been seen before to attempt to take over europe. They also killed millions of jews by holding them in concentration camps

Hitler was a politician who became the leader of the nazi party and dictated Germany throughout WW2. He eventually committed suicide along with his wife as he knew he would die soon. He was one of the biggest threats in ww2 which put a big target on him making lots of the world wanting him dead.

EThe conscription crisis in Canada was a crisis that forced Canadian men to go to war. This law was very controversial as French- Canadians would begin to riot . This was significant because it showed which side the french canadians and the government would pick.

D day was the largest invasion by any human forces through out the war. Canada had such a big role in the invasion that they helped get closer to the end of world war 2. This helped show canadas commitment to the war and helped canada have a good reputaion as a good allie

Hiroshima was a city in japan that was bombed in 1945 by the united states to force japan to surrendoer and get revenge for all the damadge japan had done in the past

Batlle of Britain was a massive battle that really showed off the capabilities of different countries air forces. This war ended in victory for Britain and defeat for Germany.

France had one of the bigger and stronger militaries in the world at the time but unfortunately it did not work out how they expected. They ended up surrendering to Germany in 1940 until allied forces helped in 1944.

Canadian troops played a crucial role in the Mediterranean as they would fight through the Mediterranean and this is what led to the Italian campaign and the liberation of Italy after being occupied by Germany

During the war Japan worked along side nazi germany in axis alliance. Japan would be responsible for many attacks such as the bombing of pearl harbour. They would later surrender from war in 1945 after the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki

Lightning war also known as blitzkrieg was one of germanys tactics to ensure that the war was not long. This tactic consists of rushing and flanking the opponent giving them no time to prepare. The most important part about this tactic was speed.

Mackenzie king was the prime minister of canada during the war. He did an excellent job making sure that Canada had a good reputation, He was a great leader for Canada. He did not want Canada to conscript men because he did not want French Canadians to turn on him. Lightning war

The Italian campaign was one of the first big invasions where Canada had a major role. The Canadians were able to help capture silicy which led to the fall of Mussolini

Normandy was a part of D-day which was the largest human invasion ever. Around 15000 soliders and some of the RCAF along with some warships were sent to Normandy to help get closer to the end of the war by helping defeat Germany

Was one of the cities that the pacific war had taken place in. Okinawa was very important because of its location allowing the United States to takeover and use Okinawa for airbases so they could attack japan

Pearl harbour was an attack on the United states by japan taken place in pearl harbour hawaii. This attack killed over 2000 people and sunk 19 navy ships 2 of them being aircraft carriers and damadged 402 aircrafts. This attack caught the world by suprise as no one had expected such an attack like this one.

In ww2 the technology of vehicles were a lot better than in world war 1. The main thing was that cars, boat, and planes were a lot faster. They were also way better for combat as planes were more advanced and better for warfare because they had more advanced weapons

Stalin was a russian dictator who led the Soviet Union during World War 2. Stalin played a major role as he played a major part in defeating Hitler and germany

U boats were Germanys version of a submarine. They were used in the battle of Britain to set up blockades to stop and destroy vessels, so Britain did not have access to goods from outside of the country

War in atalantic was a continuous battle that lasted around 6 years this battle was very important as it allowed countries to accelerate transportation if they were able to control the routes of the Atlantic

Victory bonds are the funds that the military wanted from people at homefront to help fund for the war. They would do this by using propoganda and garaunteeing people their money back

Yankees

Zyklon B is a toxic gas that was used by the nazis in concentration camps during the holocaust. They used this gas to kill over 1 million jews just at Auschwitz which was one of the biggest Camps at the time . These were used by tricking jews into thinking they were taking showers but instead of water coming out Zyklon B would come out and within a few minutes everybody would die.

Yankees were a nickname given by Britain to American troops who were in the military much like how Canadians were nicknamed atorm troopers

The axis was an aliance that consist of germany italy and japan. They were dominant at the start of the war but in 1945 the war ended with defeat of the axis.
