TIP #1: Topic, Evidence, Analysis

The Topic Sentence is your assertion, which is basically the main point of your paragraph The Evidence is your proof. If you have evidence, you can answer the promt. The Analysis is how your Evidence relates to your Topic Sentence. Your answer won't make sense if it does not relate to your topic.
In order to write a good essay/paragraph, you'll typically need TEA (Topic, Evidence, and Analysis).
  • You don't have to use TEA format, this is just the most common and easy way to answer a prompt
Secondly, phrase your topic sentence as a sttatement/fact. Your trying to prove your point so sound assertive.

How to Write a good topic sentence

First things first, it should be placed near the very beginning of your paragraph
Finally, make sure it relates to the theme/what you are supposed to be writing about

How to Write Good Evidence

Next, make sure it includes specifics and information and details to make it as clear to understand as possible.
Firstly, you state example that is RELEVANT to your topic sentence. Relevance is key

How to Write a Good Analysis

Make sure you explain WHY it relates to your claim. Explain why it's relevant in the first place. If you can't describe why your evidence is relevant to your topic, then it's pointless

A Proper Example
