The Evolution of the Radio

A little of history

The beginning...

The first steps towards the discovery of radio began to be taken in 1863 when in Cambridge – England, James Clerck Maxwell theoretically demonstrated the probable existence of electromagnetic waves, unifying the entire theory of Faraday, Lorentz, Gauss and Ampere

However, the first radio system appears through Nikola Tesla, a scientist born in Serbia, who contributed most from a practical and experimental point of view to the discovery of radio.

Historical Events

In 1940, during WW2, Motorola received a contract from the War Department to develop a portable, battery-powered voice radio receiver/transmitter for use in the field by infantry units.

It has been codenamed SCR-300

The SCR-300 operates in the frequency range 40.0 to 48.0 MHz
